Now is the time to get out and enjoy the snow (melt)! The creeks and reservoirs are full of water and prime for playing in. Rent Tube Rentals, Paddle Board Rentals (SUPs), or Kayak Rentals and get out for an adventure! They come with pumps so you can take them deflated and packed in the car, or we can fully inflate them for you if you’d prefer to strap everything to the roof. Walk-in rentals welcome anytime between 10am-6pm everyday. Come after 2pm to rent for the next day at no additional charge. Reserve a package through our website 48+ hrs in advance for 20% OFF!
We recommend Tubing in Boulder Creek for beginners and intermediates when water flow is below 200cfs, and for advanced/experienced tubers when flows are below 300cfs. Above 300cfs the creek is not safe and we won’t be renting tubes, this is a good time to check out the St. Vrain River in Lyons and Clear Creek in the Golden area.
If you want to get out on a Kayak or SUP (Stand-up Paddleboard) we recommend checking out Union Reservoir and McIntosh Reservoir in Longmont! They are accessible with good parking, which makes for an easy day out. Gross reservoir is a great destination as well, but while the reservoir expansion project is underway the south side access of the reservoir is shut down. You can put water craft in at the north access.
We also have some great inflatable whitewater Kayak rentals if you want get onto some moving water. These Kayaks are great for class I, II, and III rapids. If you’re willing to drive a little, we really like the Upper Colorado River between the Pumphouse Boat ramps down to where the river meets I-70. These kayaks are super fun in Boulder Creek too!
